Keep politics and religion out of your blog

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

There are many reasons to blog. Business and pleasure are two types which would cover all conceivable blogs. Blogs are supposed to be a log of daily events on the net. Well, at least that’s how it started off as.

Today blogs have taken myriad forms from the most naïve to the very sophisticated. Not only is it your voice on the net but a tool to sell your products and services. In this scenario blogging ethics and practices are being questioned. An informal though strong movement towards blog etiquette is slowly evolving.

Rather than an outside force, a sensitive analysis of our purpose would throw sufficient light on this subject.

religion as a subject has always been highly volatile. In most cases it is a matter of blind faith. Logic and scientific analysis of religion is not always possible. Moreover, religion has become highly polarized and rabid fundamentalism has taken hold. In these circumstances, your blog can become a cause for covert criticism.

Your views on religion are personal and may affect the sentiments of your readers. A subtle change of opinion would hurt your blog more than what can be imagined. You only have to answer one question. Do you adverise your religion on your Biodata. “I am XYZ. I am a devout   Catholic” or “I am ABC. I am a

Mohammedan.” I am sure you would never do such a thing. So why should you talk of religion on your blog?

I suppose the same holds true of politics. The present political situation has increased    polarization of political ideology and even a small admission of our political leaning leads to an opinionated conclusion.

If you are thought to be on the far right of the political spectrum, you are automatically labeled as the epitome of loose morals and against the family. On the other hand you can be labeled as racist and closed minded.

In the blogging context such stereotypes are likely to rub your readers on the wrong side and the purpose of your blog may get obscured. It is best to avoid subjects, which evoke strong sentiments, unless of course, the purpose of your blog is to deal with these subjects. You should then be prepared to steer your blog through choppy seas and expect some lively debate.

If you want to attract people to your blog and ensure a peaceful atmosphere in your blogasphere it is best to keep these controversial subjects out of your blog.

Blogs Versus A Static Website

Discover How To Become A Successful Affiliate Marketer

You might be wondering why you should start a blog versus creating a static website. While both can be profitable, you’ll probably find that running a blog is a lot more fun, is

easier to use, and offers incredible search engine optimization benefits — these are things you just can’t get with a standard HTML based website. The potential for profit with a blog is huge!

Let’s start off with the fun factor. It can be tedious to write article after article to post on a standard website. In fact, you might just give up after a while because it can seem like you’re just treading water and not getting anywhere. You might not even need any more articles once your static site reaches a certain

point. When you’re running a blog you can really inject some personality into it! It can be fun to think of new blog posts and to make them unique so they stand apart from other blogs in your niche.

In addition to being more fun, blogging software will likely be a lot easier for you to use than trying to create a website with something like Dreamweaver or the ancient Front Page. This is especially true when you use something like WordPress.com or Blogger.com. These options are designed to be very user-friendly. You

operate them via a backend where you can easily add pages and posts, and take care of everything related to search engine optimization. Of course, there is a learning curve to any option, but it’s nothing like trying to code HTML!

No matter how steep the learning curve, you want to be sure that your blog has a great chance of ranking highly in the search engines. That’s why it’s such good news that the blogging software of today makes it easy to do proper SEO. This is especially true in the case of self-hosted WordPress, (which we’ll cover more later) since there are plugins that can automate a lot of this for you.

It’s also important to note that search engines like Google love constantly updated content. They also like content where people can interact (live comments on your blog means free content for you!) and that adds value to those who use their search engine. Blogs on niche topics definitely fit this ideal.

Hopefully, you now understand why running a blog is the way to go if you want to make money online. It can be fun, blogging software is easy to use, and it offers great search engine optimization benefits. All of these things put together could mean that your bottom-line increases dramatically over what it would be with a boring static website.

Can A Listbuilding System Be TOTALLY Automated?

I know we’re all a bit sick and tired of promises of “automated software” that will make us rich before dinner.

And I’m always the first to be skeptical of these kinds of outrageous claims.

But today I may have to actually eat my words.

Because I just picked up a listbuildilng system that really is incredibly fast…,

And the traffic actually does keeps flow in on auto-pilot.

It’s a pretty new tactic on the scene that I’ve heard of.

But I never really knew how to implement it.

Then I found this:

Free Plug N Play Listbuilding System

At that link 7 figure marketer Bill McRea is GIVING AWAY this listbuilding system totally free…

It’s his way of getting some buzz going for his upcoming product launch (apparently he’s go another system up his sleeve that’s even better than this)

In any case..

I went and got this myself and it’s totally legit.

There’s nothing scammy about it all.
It’s just a way to instantly create a win-win offer that potential JV partners can’t refuse.

Bill hand you EVERYTHING you need to make it work. And I mean EVERYTHING.

So if you know the power of having a mailing list..

Do yourself a favor and go get this.

Do it now: Free Plug N Play Listbuilding System

I mean…you can’t beat the price, right?

P.S. There is one catch to this…you’ll have to help spread the word. But that’s easy for me because I’ve seen this strategy in action and know that it works.

How to Make Money As an Affiliate Through Your Autoresponder

MOBILE MARKETING HOT MARKET

Making money with your autoresponder is one of the best ways to achieve success as an affiliate marketer. That’s because you will not be reliant on your website ranking in the search engines or having to pay to get people to visit your website. You will

already have a highly targeted list that has given you permission to e-mail them with content and special offers. This is a beautiful thing!

It is important to understand how the autoresponder method works. Basically, you will need a way to entice people to join your list. No, people are not just going to enter their name and e-mail address for the fun of it. This is especially true these days since so many people are tired

of getting scammed or constantly contacted by companies and people they do not want to associate with. That’s why you want to make a compelling offer that stands out.

One of the best ways to do this is to set up what is called a “squeeze page” on your website. This squeeze page has one purpose and only one purpose — to gather those e-mail leads! You might have seen one of these before as you’ve explored the world of marketing. The squeeze

page generally consists of a headline and some short bullet points that are very enticing. In addition to the minimal wording on the page, you will see an opt in box. It is set up this way because it is the least distracting method and it can dramatically increase conversion rates.

Now, what you should write as copy on your squeeze page is very dependent on the niche you are in. No matter what niche you’re in, you need something that will entice your reader to go ahead and sign up. That is why giving away a free report is such a great idea!

That may not make much sense to you right now, but take this example. Imagine you are in a niche that teaches people how to clear acne. You might have a headline on your squeeze page that says something like “Top 10 Acne Cures THEY Don’t Want You to Know About.” Under

that, you will make it briefly clear that the acne industry in general does not want these secrets to get out. Then, you can offer a free report that contains these secrets. All they need to do is opt in to the box on the page, and they will receive this free report.

The free report is what entices people! The headline, bullet points, and short copy grabs their attention and shows off the benefits, but the free report makes signing up to your list a no-brainer. You have to give something before you take something. You should also have a

series of autoresponder messages set up ahead of time. Your first autoresponder message can deliver the free report, while the rest of the series of e-mails contains a mixture of helpful content and promotional offers that are highly targeted to this group of people.

This works so well because the squeeze page has very few distractions, it is directly targeted to your audience, and people love getting things for free! It is relatively hands-off for you because you have an autoresponder running and doing all the work for you. As an affiliate marketer,

building your list in this way is a great thing to do. Imagine how much money you can make if you have several of these autoresponders running for you on autopilot all around the web!

Discover The Fastest, Easiest, and Quickest
Way To Earn Real Money Online

1 Offer to write exclusive articles (that means you
only submit them to one place) for high traffic web
sites in exchange for a link back to your site. You

could also target high subscriber e-zines if they
include your resource box. These publishers will
publish them quicker because they will be the only
ones with this content.

2 Create a positive online image. Tell your visitors
about fundraisers you have sponsored or that you

donate a part of your profits to charity. For example,
you could say, “We regularly attend fundraisers and
donate about 10% of our profits to charities and
aid organizations.”

3 Improve your customer service on a regular basis.
Try out new technologies that make it easier to
communicate with your customers over the net. For

example, you could communicate with your
customers or visitors by phone, instant message, web
site messages, chat rooms, message boards, video
conferencing, fax, e-mail, etc.

4 Ask your customers what they would like to see
offered by your business in the future. This type of
information can boost your sales. For example, you

could find out they are interested in buying DVDs
from your business. You could contact a DVD
supplier and start selling them as back-end products.

5 Make sure your web host isn’t losing your sales.
If you get an e-mail from someone who told you
that they couldn’t access your site, it might be your

host. You should ask them what kind of tracking or
back-up system they use to make sure your web
site is always up and running for business.

6 Allow your visitors’ experience to be an enjoyable
one at your web site. Provide easy navigation, good

content, fast loading graphics, search options, etc.
You could offer online games that are related to
your web sites theme. You could offer prizes to the
high scorers too.

7 Keep changing or adding freebies to your web
site. If people see the same freebie in your ads they
will say to themselves, “Been there, done that”. For

example, you could introduce a new freebie every
month. People will revisit every month to get the
new freebie.
